Robins Trust Board to Welcome Three New Members
The Robins Trust are pleased to announce the appointment of three new board members, subject to confirmation at next week’s Annual General Meeting.
Following the nomination period which closed last week, Greg Newcombe, John Peake and Adam Stanley all submitted valid applications.
They join existing board members, David Beesley, Jaimie Henderson, Jenny Hancock, Si Watten and James Young, who were nominated for re-election.
As the number of applications was lower the vacancies on the board, there will be no formal election process.
All eight candidates will therefore be put forward for ratification at the Trust’s AGM on Thursday, 28 November at 7.30pm.
Nominations were also invited for the position of the Trust’s Appointed Director in Cheltenham Town FC.
David Beesley was the only candidate nominated. His appointment will also go forward for ratification at the AGM.
Andrew Kafkaris, who joined the Trust as a co-opted board member in April, will stand down from the board at the AGM.
The Trust board would like to thank Andrew for the insight, efforts and expertise he provided during his short time on the board.
The Trust would also like to thank Robert Whittaker of the Blackpool Supporters Trust for his assistance as independent Scrutineer during the election process.
The Annual General Meeting will take place at in the 1887 Club Lounge at Whaddon Road from 7.30pm on Thursday, November 28.
All Cheltenham Town fans are welcome to attend, but only Trust board members may participate in the AGM.
Following the brief AGM, there will be an open forum with members of the Cheltenham Town first-team management and board of directors.
The Forum will be hosted by recorded by BBC Radio Gloucestershire’s Steve Kitchen, and will be available via BBC Sounds after the event.
The Trust have been exploring ways to live stream but have so far been unable to source a suitable option. If anyone is able to assist, please contact chair@robinstrust.org.
