How to get to Home Park

By Car: If you are making a debut trip to Home Park, the stadium (PL2 3DQ) is well sign-posted from the A38. Approaching Plymouth from the East, exit the A38 at the Manadon roundabout, and take the second exit towards the city centre. Remain on Outland Road for around 1.5 miles (around 15 minutes on a busy match day). Then Home Park should appear into your view on the left-hand side, take the next available left and you will arrive at the stadium’s car park.

By Coach: If you arrive in Plymouth by public coach transport, your service will likely terminate at Plymouth coach station. From here, it is a 30-minute walk to Home Park, through Central Park. Upon departing the coach station on to Armada Way, turn left and walk up the hill, through the subway and past the train station. Home Park will be signposted along the route.

By Train: Plymouth railway station is located just a mile away from Home Park, and there is a paved walking route which takes you through Central Park straight to the stadium, taking around 20 minutes. Please note that a portion of the walk is up a steep hill.

By Taxi: If you are unable to walk, or prefer not to, there is a taxi rank located just outside the main entrance of the railway station. A cab to Home Park should take no longer than five minutes and cost no more than £5. If you would prefer to pre-book a taxi in advance, we recommend Need-a-cab (01752 666222) or Tower Cabs (01752 252525), who are both partners of Plymouth Argyle.

Parking

The Milehouse park and ride car park, adjacent to Home Park, is a large and free car park. As it is used by those travelling into the city centre and by users of the nearby Life Centre, the car park is usually very busy and fills up extremely quickly on match-days, so very early arrival is essential to secure a space.

As this car park becomes full very early on match days, we recommend seeking alternative parking options in the city centre and in Plymouth’s other park and ride car parks. There are several pay and display car parks in and around the city centre. The closest of these to Home Park is on Stuart Road (PL1 5LH), but there are also several others in the city centre at Western Approach (PL1 1AJ), Theatre Royal (PL1 2TR) and Drake’s Circus (PL1 1EA).

Many buses operate from the nearby Royal Parade and Western Approach to Alma Road which is just a short walk from the ground.

Parking at these park and ride car parks is free, and there are dedicated match day special bus services, provided by Plymouth Citybus, which run to and from Home Park on match-days to get you to the game.

We’d ask supporters to avoid residential areas and use one of the many designated parking areas where possible.

Further parking has also been made available for all home matches until the end of the 2023/24 season through event parking partner, Big Parking. This pre-bookable option will offer supporters the opportunity to guarantee their parking space at locations in close proximity to the ground (approx. 5 min walk). Car parking starts at £10 per vehicle and can be purchased at https://thebigparking.co.uk/ or by calling 02476 997605.

Car parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be available to purchase at least four weeks before the match.

Any supporters requiring Accessible parking are advised to still contact the club directly.

Please be aware of road closures around the Stadium on a match day to further protect the safety of supporters. All of the Big Parking car parks are located outside of the road closure zone so your access and departure will not be affected by these measures. Car parks will be open from three hours before kick-off and will close one hour after the final whistle.

Family Zone and Activities

Plymouth Argyle FC is proud to be a family club, winning EFL Family Club of the Year during the 19/20 season, and Club of the Year in 23/24 under the EFL’s Family Excellence scheme.

Our recommended area for family seating within Home Park is in the lower tier of the Beacon Electrical Mayflower Stand (blocks A-G), due to its excellent views of the pitch and its close proximity to the Argyle Superstore, Fan Zone and Pilgrim Pete!

Once you’ve booked your tickets, there is lots to see and do around the ground on match days, and we encourage you to come and join in the fun!

The Argyle Community Trust hosts a special Family Activity Zone within the Mayflower Fan Zone, which opens from 12pm for a 3pm kick-off. Both home and away fans are very welcome to come and take part in and enjoy a variety of sporting activities, including:

  • 3 vs 3 blow-up pitch
  • Penalty Shoot-out/Target goal
  • Table Tennis
  • Agility course
  • Jenga
  • Facepainting
  • Skipping

Please note that activities do vary from match to match and the above list is not exhaustive, but designed to provide a flavour of the fun we provide.

Families won’t want to miss the chance to meet our mischievous mascot, Pilgrim Pete! Pete can be found in the Mayflower Fan Zone from 1.15pm-1.30pm, at the Argyle Superstore from 1.30pm-1.45pm, and roaming the pitch-side areas inside Home Park in the hour leading up to kick off (please note timings are approximate). Pete is always happy to stop for photos and autographs, so be sure to say hello!

The Argyle Superstore, which stocks a wide range of children’s kits, fashion wear and accessories, is the perfect place to pick out a souvenir from your visit. You can even customise and create your own perfect Argyle gift! With the ability to design your own personalised keyrings, coasters, mugs, magnets and notebooks, there’s sure to be something for every Argyle fan.

Families will also find a wide range of food & beverage options, including adult and child meal deals, available through our kiosks inside Home Park. There are also television screens throughout the stadium concourse areas, showing other fixtures before kick-off to keep you up-to-date with everything happening in the football world.

Fan Zone

We are delighted to be able to welcome supporters to our new Fan Zone, which is now open on home match days in the Mayflower Quarter (located just up from the Argyle Superstore and Ticket Office - please see our “Stadium Map” page within our downloadable PDF Supporters Guide for exact location), from 12pm.

In partnership with C&G Catering, the Fan Zone offers an array of food and drink stalls, supplementing the product range available at the kiosks inside Home Park and offering the Green Army an even wider choice of delicious hot food, snacks and alcoholic and soft beverages.

Please note that the concessions inside the Fan Zone will change from game-to-game to provide supporters with even greater choice across the season! Please contact us via supporters@pafc.co.uk to find out what will be available when you’re coming!

A big screen will show live sport, perfect for those who just can’t wait until kick off to get their sporting fix, while live music will also be on offer.

It’s also the new home for our Family Zone, hosted by the Argyle Community Trust, making it the perfect place for families to enjoy a range of games and activities and soak up the pre-match atmosphere.

Look out for Pilgrim Pete too, who will make a mischievous appearance in the Fan Zone between (approx.) 1.15pm-1.30pm!

Open to all supporters pre-match with a valid match ticket, whether you are a home or away fan! Beacon Electrical Mayflower Grandstand ticket holders will also be able to gain access at half-time, to further complement the food and drink offering during the mid-game interval.

Getting help on a Match Day

Our staff strive to deliver the best service to all supporters on a match day and will be happy to help with any enquiries or issues that may arise.

Our dedicated Here to Help team, identifiable through their purple high-vis jackets, will be stationed around the ground prior to kick off to assist with any queries, help with wayfinding, and provide a wealth of match day information to help you make the most of your visit.

You can always approach the nearest steward in and around the stadium for help too, while our shop, kiosk and ticketing staff can also provide assistance.

Similarly, if you require First Aid, alert a steward or staff member who will get you the help you need.

Food and Drink

We have a number of interactive catering kiosks situated throughout the Home Park stadium, offering a range of food and beverage options. Our recently installed kiosk technology will cut down on queuing and allow you back to the action as quickly as possible.

Match Day Programme

The award-winning match day programme, The Pilgrim, is available for just £3.50 and contains exclusive interviews, features, action pictures and stories from across the Argyle family.
