Elections for the role of Trust Appointed Director
The election will follow the following process:
- The election will be run by an Election Management Group consisting of one member of the Trust board (who is not standing for election) and an independent scrutineer.
- Leo Hoenig (Robins Trust) was chosen to organise the election as per a Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Robbie Whitaker, Blackpool Supporters Trust has agreed to be independent scrutineer.
- Eligibility for the role of RTAD is set out in the Trust’s Robins Trust Appointed Director rules and any nominee must agree to be bound by those rules.
- The timetable for the election of the FED will be as follows:
- No later than 03/10/2024 : Notice of AGM and election circulated to all members.
- 14/11/2024(midday): Deadline for receipt of nominations and candidate statements.
- In the week beginning 18/11/2024 an announcement will be made as to whether a ballot will be necessary. If so, the following will happen:
- 18/11/2024: Candidate statements for all candidates seeking election will be published on the Trust website.
- 21/11/2024: voting forms and candidate statements and means for proxy or email voting, will be sent to Trust members.
- 28/11/2024: Election count and announcement will take place at the Robins Trust AGM.
- If the incumbent RTAD is re-elected, then the candidate’s term of office is continuous. In the case of a new RTAD being elected, the incumbent remains in place until the newly elected RTAD has completed the EFL’s Owners’ and Directors’ tests.
